Knitted Wire Mesh Gaskets over Elastomer Cores (200 series)

200 series gaskets consist typically of two layers of wire mesh knitted over an elastomer core, usually sponge or tube. Additional layers can also be added depending on the application of the equipment and degree of shielding required. For example where NEMP protection is needed a minimum of 7 layers would be recommended. Although round or rectangular cross sections are the most commononly used, other sections can be extruded to custom designs if required. Offering moderate closing forces for use in situations requiring frequent opening & closing such as Enclosure Doors etc. make this product a very cost effective solution. Being knitted over a flexible core also allows the gasket to compensate for irregular surfaces found on castings and sheet metal fabrications. These products are available in continuous lengths, cut to length or fabricated into finished gaskets to suit customers requirements. Low compression force and UL flame retardant approved materials are also available on request.
